Getting to know my apprentices

Dana Daugherty

Dana is the mother of 4 children. She is a childbirth doula and in 2005 was a midwife assitant for another local midwife for 18 months.

Dana has graduated from the Midwife Training Program through the Association of Texas Midwives and plans to sit for her board the summer of 2010 and become a Certified Professional Midwife.

Dana was the past team leader of the doula program through Hillcrest and the past president of Doulas of Northeastern Oklahoma.

Certifications and training: NRP, CPR, Breastfeeding Educator, DONA certified

Attended the Midwife Assistant Workshop at the Farm in Tennessee, California Association of Midwives conference in May '06, and Midwives Alliance of North America Conference in Baltimore, Ma Oct ober '06

Deena Licht RN, IBCLC

Deena is a wife and mother of 7 children. She is a registered nurse and has been a board certified lactation consultant since 1997. Her background in nursing includes; newborn nursery, NICU, Mother/Baby, Home health, Labor and Delivery, and Lactation. She currently teaches prenatal breastfeeding classes and infant CPR.

Certifications and training: RN, IBCLC, NRP, AHA BLS-CPR instructor. DONA Doula training workshop (not DONA certified)

Brandi Stone

Brandi is a wife and mother to 5 children. She is a Montrice and completed her training through the Oklahoma Midwife Alliance. She has been working with me since 2006. Brandi is currently enrolled in the Midwife to Be program.

Certifications and training: Associate Degree in Business, NRP, CPR, Breastfeeding Educator, DONA Doula training (not DONA certified), ICare crisis counseling training, Adoption support training.
